DEREK POTTER HIGH PERFORMANCE COACH
Derek joined the Swallows Gymnastics Club on the 5th December 2005. His first year is now fully complete and the experience he has brought to the club is enormous. Not only have the hih performing girl gymnasts gained significantly but the beneficial knock-on for the club has been the ability of other gym coaches to gain enormously from his expertise. Swallows has always had a significant schools programme which had involved schools such as Curnow School, Leedstown & several others visiting the Club on a regular basis. This regular diest of school visits is supplemented by our coaches going out to schools that are not able to visit us. Derek has strengthened this scheme and linked it to the Key Steps programme and other County initiatives such as inter Primary School competitions. Gymnastic results have increased and the influnece of our club has spead accross the South West competing at events where we have never dared enter before. Derek has one more year with Swallows before the funding needs to be renewed, we look forward to consolidating the current progress and strengthening the club even further.
SWALLOWS NEW WEBSITE The new Swallows website is courtsey of investment by the Hub Club (Sport England) & whilst we don't yet match our old site for content and style we now have better personal control over editing & content. The old site was developed over three years, initially Joey Robinson, who did all the initial design work and then latterly by Connexion Websolutions of Penryn. We welcome your feedback on the new site and offer of help should you wish to contribute.
Don't forget you can give your support to Swallows via the website by using Milano link and the "Donate button" it all helps.

PHOTOGRAPH WEEK
This was enormously successful with Alan took almost 3000 photos and has agreed that Swallows when the project is complete will receive a handsome donation towards our funds for the New Gym & Community building. Parents Gymnasts & Coaches were please with the way the event went and how little it disrupted the training sessions. As soon as we know the total funds we will publish the details.
CHANGING ROOM AND SPECTATOR AREA
The girls new changing room is now finished and in full use. Parents and spectators are respectfully reminded that the new waiting area will be completed shortly, however it is usable at this moment in time, and we would appreciate if ALL children that are not training remain with spectators in this area at all times. (This ensures that we comply with Health and Safety policies and our insurance).
